I was named after the main character of the Terry and the Pirates comic series, which was an action-adventure comic strip that ran from 1934-1973.  I'm not sure if that had any influence but I also have a fondness for learning about pirate history....and our store always celebrates Talk Like a Pirate Day every September 19....Arrr.

I love reading about history, in particular the history of WW2. Regarding WW2 history, I am a member of the Commemorative Air Force, and was a docent at their local CAF Airbase Arizona museum for several years.  Serving as a docent has allowed me to share stories of courage, sacrifice, and resilience and educate others about this important part of history. I also enjoy visiting other museums like the Pima Air Museum - they are great places to connect with the past!

I have been in the furniture business since 2005.  I currently manage Oak For Less® as well as Amish Furniture Creations™, where I work with my brother-in-law and sister.  It is a blessing that we all get along really well!
